This service has workers with their own lived experience in Addiction & Mental health. We engage with Tangata Whai Ora building trust and rapport through awhi and manaakitanga. We assist people to become motivated. We help people to grow strength by sharing and validating journeys of recovery and wellbeing when engaging with peers. By sharing experiences, identifying directly with struggles and achievements. Learning and growing together, finding purpose in each other’s journey through mutuality.
Arataki Peer Support Specialists all have lived experience with mental health and or addictions.
Peer Support Specialists Walk alongside you to learn what helps you stay on a path of recovery, hope and wellbeing.
