Community Support

Arataki Ministries Community Support service is an intensive and flexible mobile support service for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental illness. • Find and maintain suitable housing
  • Liaise with other services that are supporting you
  • Involve whānau in your well-being journey

  • Spiritual support

Te Tumu Waiora

Te Tumu Waiora or ‘to head towards wellness’ puts mental health and wellbeing at the heart of general practice with focused roles. Health Improvement Practitioners (HIP) and Health Coaches (HC) work as part of the general practice team to provide individuals experiencing mental distress or addictions challenges with access to convenient, high quality, integrated and person-centred care and support.

Arataki Ministries provides Health Coaches to General Practice Teams in Whangārei.

The Health Coach can help patients with self-management support and with achieving their goals for improved mental wellbeing or lifestyle or behaviour change.

You can access this free service through your general practice, and can usually be seen on the same day.
